OutLoud  ·  Formerly Social Advocate

Turn your feedback into revenue. Out loud.

Buyers now ask AI which company to choose, and answer engines build that answer from what customers say about you in public. OutLoud invites every customer to say it, on the review platforms that matter, in a way that stands up to the new rules on reviews.

Every customer asked. Nobody filtered out.

The same invitation, at the same moment, to every eligible customer. Customers who had a bad experience get a fix as well as the invite.

Why it matters now

Reviews used to be social proof. Now they decide what AI recommends.

Answer engines read reviews.

When a buyer asks which company to choose, the answer draws on what customers consistently say about you across the web.

Most happy customers never post.

Satisfied customers stay silent unless someone asks them at the right moment. OutLoud asks them.

The rules have changed.

Asking only your happy customers is now prohibited by the major platforms and by consumer law in the UK, EU and US. The compliant way is also the credible one.

The rules

Built for the new rules on reviews.

Review gating means sending only happy customers to review sites. It is no longer a grey area.

UK: DMCC Act 2024

Rules on fake and misleading reviews have applied since April 2025, and the CMA can now enforce them directly, including fines.

EU: consumer law

The Omnibus Directive requires businesses to explain how reviews are collected and checked, and prohibits misleading review practices.

US: FTC

The FTC rule on consumer reviews bans review suppression, and FTC guidance warns against asking only the customers you expect to be positive.

Google

Its review policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews from customers.

Trustpilot

Its guidelines require businesses to invite customers without filtering them by sentiment.

Yelp

Prohibits asking for reviews at all, so OutLoud never sends customers there.

A summary for context, not legal advice. OutLoud applies these rules by country, and your own counsel should confirm them for your programme.

What you get

How OutLoud works.

The same invite for everyone

Every eligible customer receives the review invitation at the same trigger point and with the same timing, whatever they scored.

A recovery track alongside

Low scorers also get a follow up question and a priority callback with their comments attached, so the problem gets fixed.

Rules by jurisdiction

Timing windows, consent and platform rules applied by country, so each market runs to its own rules.

The platforms that matter

Google, Trustpilot and the review sites your buyers read. Platforms that forbid invitations are never used.

Every channel, voice next

Invitations after digital surveys today. Invitations by SMS or email after a voice interaction are coming next.

Proof for your legal team

Every invitation, consent and timing decision recorded in an audit trail you can show a regulator.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What is OutLoud?

OutLoud is the CX Index review invitation tool. It invites every eligible customer to share their experience on the review platforms you choose, and runs a recovery track for customers who had a bad experience. It replaces Social Advocate.

Is review gating allowed?

Sending only happy customers to review sites, known as review gating, is prohibited by Google and Trustpilot and conflicts with consumer protection rules in the UK, EU and US. OutLoud invites every eligible customer at the same point, whatever they scored.

How do reviews affect AI recommendations?

Answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews draw on what customers say across the web when they recommend a company. More genuine reviews give them more to work with.

What happens to customers who had a bad experience?

They receive the same invitation as everyone else, and a recovery track as well: a follow up question and a priority callback with their comments attached.
